Privacy in the QuickTrolly app

This notice covers the QuickTrolly iPhone app. Our main privacy policy covers quicktrolly.eu and applies as well. Where the two differ about the app, this notice applies.

The short version: the app has no accounts and no login. There is nothing to sign up for, and we do not build a profile of you. Almost everything the app remembers stays on your own phone.

What stays on your phone only

The following never leaves your device and we never see it:

Your basket until you check out.
Products you have viewed, so the app can show “Pick up where you left off”.
Products you have bought from the app, for the “Buy again” row.
Your recent searches.
Your age confirmation for alcohol (a yes/no answer, nothing more).
A record of orders you placed from the app — date, items and basket total — so you can see them under “Your orders”.

Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Notifications

Notifications are off unless you switch them on in Account. If you do:

We store a notification token — an identifier for your device issued by Apple and Expo. It does not contain your name, email or phone number.
We use it only to send you updates about your orders and occasional offers.
We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking you across other apps or websites.
Turning notifications off in the app deletes it.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by switching notifications off, with no effect on anything before that.

Processors involved: Apple (Apple Push Notification service) and Expo (which relays the message to Apple).

Shopping and checkout

Browsing and searching send only the search or product request to Shopify, which hosts our catalogue. No account is involved.

Checkout happens on Shopify’s own secure page, opened inside the app. Your name, delivery address and payment details are entered there and handled by Shopify and the payment provider you choose — the app never sees or stores them. What happens to that data is covered by our main privacy policy.

What we do not do

No advertising identifiers (no IDFA), no ad networks, no cross-app tracking.
No analytics or behaviour-tracking SDK inside the app.
No location collection.
No contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
No selling or sharing of personal data.

Children

The app is not intended for children. Alcohol categories are behind an 18+ confirmation, and age is checked again by the driver at handover, as required by the Jugendschutzgesetz.

How long we keep things

On-device data stays until you delete the app or clear it in the app. A notification token is kept only while notifications are switched on. Order data held by Shopify is kept as set out in our main privacy policy and under German tax and commercial retention rules.

Your rights

You have the rights under GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict, object and receive a copy of your personal data. Because the app holds no account, most app data is deleted simply by deleting the app; for anything held with your order, write to info@quicktrolly.eu and we will respond within one month.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority. Ours is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Ansbach.
