Weekly Veggie Box

The Weekly Veggie Box is a mixed box of fresh vegetables put together each week from what is good that week — the staples an Indian kitchen cooks from, rather than a fixed list.

It is meant to replace the weekly vegetable run: one order, and the week's sabzi, dal and salad vegetables arrive together. Because the box follows the season and the market, the contents change from week to week, which is also how you end up cooking something you would not have thought to buy.

Choose the size that matches your household — Small, Family or Large. Unpack as soon as the box arrives: refrigerate the leafy vegetables in bags, and keep onions, potatoes and garlic out of the fridge in a cool, dark place. Cook the greens first and the harder vegetables later in the week.
